back to projects
PPSRF assisted Sampalis Realty with the preparation, submission, and monitoring of State and Federal Historic Tax Credit Certifications for the renovation of Benjamin Dyer Block in downtown Providence. The building was built in 1820 as rowhouses by architect John Holden Greene. In the 1880's the building underwent numerous alterations. The rehabilitation plans for the renovation of the eastern half of the block, which is now primarily occupied by Saki’s Pizza House. It will include a remodeling of the commercial space on the first two levels and converting the top two floors into 15 residential units. The project is also receiving a $500,000 loan from the Downcity Fund.
